OUR PARTNERS
Experience Outdoors work with several partners who help us and enhance the services we provide. We would not be able to be as successful as we are without their support.
THE GREEN TEAM
The Green Team is an environmental organisation based in Edinburgh. We work with young people to restore and conserve wild places as an essential part of learning about the natural heritage of Scotland.
We carry out projects centred around a conservation task, and time is also spent exploring the countryside and taking part in environmental activities such as art, games and crafts. Since 1995 over 5,000 young people have worked with the Green Team improving their local area, learning about the countryside and achieving a range of awards such as the John Muir Award and Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

FOTA - FRIENDS OF THE AWARD
Friends of the Award in Edinburgh and the Lothians, FOTA, is both a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee and a charity. This provides both a robust financial structure and reporting system and the ability to fundraise to support our ambitions to make the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and other youth awards accessible to all.
FOTA was established in 1998 with the remit to support the operation of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award throughout the Edinburgh and Lothians area. The charity has a Board of Directors and Management Committee composed entirely of volunteers. Board Members come from a variety of professional backgrounds – and give very generously of their time to manage and support the work of FOTA.

THE RISK FACTORY
The Risk Factory is an interactive safety centre. We manufacture everyday risks in a safe environment and aim to teach people how to deal with or avoid risks altogether. We strive to provide high quality, interactive community safety education, which will help to develop pro-active citizenship.
The centre is partially funded by four local authorities: City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian councils. Through this funding all Primary 7 children and P6 if composite class, from these local authorities, have a place at the centre. We also have several sponsors and partners that support the centre. From 2018 to 2019 we are very grateful for the generous support of Scottish Power, Network Rail and ScotRail.
