Forests and fringed beaches surround the area with the stunning backdrop of often snow-clad peaks of the northern Cairngorms. LOCH AN EILEIN
Breath-taking is indeed an apt description for this scenic trip. Loch an Eilein, loch of the island, with a 13th-century castle, was voted Britain’s Best Picnic Spot. Visitors can enjoy some of the best low-level walking in Scotland. You will be sheltered by ancient pine trees with views of the mountains. The path around the loch is suitable for motorised wheelchairs, off-road buggies and is part of the 50km Rothiemurchus way marked network of trails.

Glenmore Forest Park, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, is a beautiful place to see what makes the National Park unique. Centuries-old forests form a green sea around high, rounded mountains, and lochs with sandy beaches that glitter in the sun.
